Allies
Retired. Lead vocalist Bob Carlisle has gone on to a successful solo career, and currently lives in Las Vegas. Founding member Randy Thomas owns a recording studio in Franklin, TN. Founding member Sam Scott now lives in Westerville, OH, and continues to write songs for the likes of Carlisle, Avalon, and others. He works as a builder and realtor. Matthew Chapman lives in California and continues to play bass. Jimmy Erickson lives outside of Nashville and plays drums part-time.
All Together Separate
This eclectic rock band performed its last concert on March 22, 2003 at Azusa Pacific University. The band cited a desire to pursue "new paths" as its reasons for disbanding, although the possibility was left open that they could regroup for other projects in the future. Little is known about the band members' current activities.

Brian Barrett

Disbanded in late 2002 after a severe accident in their tour van. All of the band's members have since healed and are alive and well.

Margaret Becker

Believable Picnic

The Benjamin Gate

Beyond the Blue

Big Tent Revival
Disbanded after five albums. Mention was made that the band might be willing to re-group somewhere down the road. Frontman Steve Wiggins has gone on to a career as a solo artist, and is rumored to be taking on a role as Adjunct Professor of Music at the University of Memphis. Keith Brown
Fell off the radar after his second album released in 1995. His name has been seen in assorted credits on a handful of albums over the years, such as a contribution he made to a 1997 Mother Teresa tribute album. Brown was most recently sighted in a photo attached to a press release (posted on CMCentral -- third photo from the top) showing him in the studio with Sixpence None the Richer's Leigh Nash. Brown is listed as co-writer and co-producer on a song entitled "A Charmed Life," which Nash contributed to the soundtrack for the MGM film, Uptown Girls.
Joanna Carlson
After the release of The Light of Home in 1995, Carlson did not resign with Reunion Records when it was sold in 1996. She went on to tour and write songs for other artists while working for Rocketown Publishing and Word Publishing. She worked for both companies until 2000. Since then, she independently released an acoustic pop album called The Waiting Room and a jazz Christmas album called Christmas With You. She also published a children's book. A few years ago she was rumored to be working on a solo album, writing songs with Sixpence None the Richer's Matt Slocum, but that was never verified, and nothing has ever been released.

Rick Cua

Earthsuit
After its recording contract with Sparrow Records came to an end in 2002, Earthsuit has more or less disbanded. In mid-2003, frontman Paul Meany confirmed on the band's website that Earthsuit as a band is officially over. Paul and Darren King have formed a production team called Math, and have been working with tobyMac on his next record, as well as his Re:Mix Momentum album. Word has it that the duo are also writing and performing together under the "Math" moniker. Adam LaClave has formed a new band called Macrosick, which Meany and King may also play for. Guitarist Dave Rumsey has joined Jason Morant's band. Until mid-2003, Earthsuit had talked about working with Jacquire King on a potential second record, but that project appears to have been shelved indefinitely.

John Elefante
Elefante is reportedly working on a greatest hits collection which will include three new songs. After that, he plans to begin work on his next solo project. Since Pamplin Records, the label he was signed to, went under two years ago, it is unknown how or when Elefante plans to release these two projects, although it's said that he hopes to have the greatest hits album out before the end of 2003. We have also received word that there has been talk of recording a new Mastedon album. Elefante and his brother Dino have also started a new production company and are developing several new artists; formal announcements about this new company and its artists should be forthcoming soon.

Five Iron Frenzy
After 2003, Five Iron Frenzy will be no more, citing a calling on all of the band members' hearts to "move on to other things." After one last studio recording sometime this summer, the band is scheduled to hold a farewell tour from September through November, culminating in a final show in Denver, Colorado. Though nothing conclusive has been announced, it is possible that some of the band's members may continue the Brave Saint Saturn side-project band. Jacob's Trouble

Tim Miner

One Hundred Days
Disbanded. Onetime guitarist for the band, Tony Lind, now plays with the Craig Douglas Band. He teaches private music lessons in Oakville, Ontario, and plays as a studio musician every now and then. He was spotted at GMA 2003 accompanying Jim Witter. We have also received reports that he has filling in with Thousand Foot Krutch. Founder Andrew Horrocks currently lives in Kitchener, Ontario, and runs his own home recording studio, producing local Christian Canadian artists.

PFR
On again, off again. After a successful career in the mid-90s, this three-person rock band broke up to pursue other interests. But they returned in 2001 with Disappear, a reunion album that was planned as the first in a new series of PFR projects. But those plans were cut short by the Warner Bros. buyout of Word Records, which took PFR's label, Squint Entertainment, out of the control of founder Steve Taylor. PFR's recording contract was an exclusive agreement with Taylor, so the band chose not to continue under Squint's new management. The band continues to play together occasionally, but they have no current plans to record together again. Vocalist Joel Hanson is pursuing a solo career. Mark Nash has reportedly been producing; he is known to have produced the debut album for new band Celebrity (see "Parkway," below). Patrick Andrew now lives in Phoenix, AZ and leads worship at McDowell Mountain Community Church. He plans to record a solo album soon, after completing work on a new worship collaboration called More Than Words, recorded with fellow worship leader Heath Bottomly.

Parkway
Disbanded after one album. Lance Black has gone on to form a new band called Celebrity, which released its debut album, Lovesick, in May 2003, which was produced by PFR's Mark Nash. Kendall Payne
A longtime resident of the Missing Artists list, this pop/rock songstress was highly acclaimed as a prominent new modern rock singer/songwriter with the release of her 1999 album, Jordan's Sister. She also recorded a song for the soundtrack to the television show Felicity and a duet with Matt Redman for his album Where Angels Fear To Tread. But within two years she had completely vanished from the business, no longer touring, and plans for her second album had apparently been shelved indefinitely. She has not been heard from, professionally, for over one full year, and nothing is known about her future plans.

Raze has disbanded after Ja'Marc Davis was involved in a lawsuit involving one of the group's backup singers. The other three members subsequently went their separate ways. Mizzie was spotted hanging out at the Inpop Records showcase in Nashville at GMA 2003. Rumor has it she has seen interest from various labels in signing her as a solo artist. JD Webb was recently heard on the Oasis Praise album; he currently serves as worship leader at the Oasis Christian Center in California.

Seven Day Jesus

Shaded Red
Disbanded, although founders and brothers Jamie and Jon Roberts have created a new band called Indio, and now live in Los Angeles. Indio can often be heard playing at clubs along Los Angeles' Sunset Strip. On Shaded Red's second album, they recorded a remake of Benny Hester's hit "When God Ran," which has led to a collaboration between Indio and Hester on the new band's first recording (hopefully coming soon).

Steve Taylor
After his label, Squint Entertainment, was bought out during the Warner Bros. deal in early 2002, Taylor has rarely been seen or heard from. He produced the Newsboys' two most recent albums, Thrive and Adoration, but nothing else is known about his recent activities. At one time he had been working on a film project, entitled Saint Gimp, which he was reportedly planning on self-recording a soundtrack for, as well. But it is unknown whether or not the film, or any future musical projects by Taylor, will ever come to fruition.

The quartet True Vibe, as it was known during their two-record stint on Essential Records, has disbanded. Jason Barton, Jordan Roe, and Nathan Gaddis are rumored to be working together as a new group called Ten Fold; inside reports suggest that the trio has already signed a new recording contract with Essential Records. Founding member Jonathan Lippmann, as he explained in this news report, has hired a new group of guys and plans to carry on as True Vibe with a more traditional vocal/harmony sound. Tony Vincent

Smiley released a collection of new music he had written for Whiteheart's next album on a project called Never Lost, which featured frontman Ric Florian on two songs. Florian now works as a real estate agent in Brentwood, TN, and also tours with a children's entertainment & education company called Flumpa, which educates kids about science. Zilch
Formed in 1997 as a side project by former dc Talk guitarist Mark Lee Townsend and other dc Talk bandmates, Zilch recorded an album (Platinum) a few years ago but did very little touring, and the album ended up on the shelf after a year. Most of its members went on to form the modern worship band Sonicflood (all of whom moved onto other projects). Now Zilch has resurfaced with a new line-up alongside Townsend.
